GILT - Suzy O'Rourke with GALA Curios AW2012
GALA designer Jasmine O'Loughlin most recently collaborated with esteemed milliner, Suzy O'Rourke, on a 9 piece collection of couture hats for AW12.
Each piece was hand crafted from start to finish, then plated in 24ct gold using GALA's signature expertise. Custom floral metalwork arrangements were also hand-constructed by Jasmine for incorporation into Suzy's couture hats.
GALA x SPACE Furniture / Live Installation 2011
To celebrate the launch of the MONO NO AWARE collection into stores, GALA Curios created a living installation for the Saturday In Design event at iconic Sydney design boutique, SPACE Furniture.
Created in collaboration with Ruby + Jules Bespoke Flowers, the entire front counter of the store was transformed into a living floral wonderland, which bloomed and died over the course of one week. The installation brought to life the concept of transient beauty at the heart of MONO NO AWARE, and was documented in its various stages of decay by photographer Carine Thevenau.
JASMINE NOIR for MARNIE SKILLINGS / Rosemount Australian Fashion Week 2009
Early 2009, GALA Curios designer, Jasmine O’Loughlin-Glover, was invited by fashion designer, Marnie Skillings, to design a range of jewellery to accompany Skillings’ show at Rosemount Australian Fashion Week that year.
The collection of 35 pieces, under the moniker of ‘Jasmine Noir for Marnie Skillings’, incorporated custom-designed laser-cut leather and acrylic pieces, combined with powder-coated steel chain, hand-woven macramé and semi-precious Lightning Ridge opals.
